A roadtrip wouldn’t be a roadtrip without critters. Given that fact, we do travel with our own critter, Sophie the cat.

At some point, she decided that Bob’s tv tray that he tries to eat on actually belonged to her. She wasn’t too willing to share.

The two photos below are from our Harvest Hosts stay at Rockie Top Acres. A thing that I never knew about alpacas is that they are, evidently, natural born spectators. The two photos are the same bunch of alpacas. In the one on the left (top if mobile) they’re all lined up watching some guy (not seen) play basketball. Fascinating. In the one on the right (bottom if mobile), they’ve noticed that I came up behind them, so they’re all coming over to see what I’m up to. Equally fascinating no doubt.

Highland cows are way too cute. It was a hot day, and the little guys were just kinda melted in the shade. I was hoping to get a better look and better photo the following day, but it was raining and they were way out in the field sitting down.

Our parking space at Rockie Top Acres was right next to the pen and pasture where the mamas and babies were.
